CLEVELAND – The Lock Haven University wrestling team (6-7-1, 1-2 EWL) topped Cleveland State University (4-8, 0-1 EWL) 32-10 tonight in Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) action.

The Bald Eagles won seven of 10 bouts to easily cruise past CSU.

With the win LHU earns its first league win of the year, while Cleveland falls to 0-1 in EWL action.

Nick Hyatt (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown), Billy Ashnault (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield), Ollie Cooperwood (Maple Heights, Ohio/Maple Heights), Aaron Ernest (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove), Travis Stem (Wingate, Pa./Bald Eagle), Tom Kocher (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) and Ben Hepburn (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) all won their respective matches for The Haven.

Hyatt (125) returned to the lineup after a layoff and quickly picked up where he left off downing Jordan Keller 6-4, putting LHU up early.

Ashnault made it two Haven wins in a row as he made it look easy in a 16-0 tech fall win at 133.

Cleveland State would get right back in it with wins at 141 and 149.

After the CSU win at 149, LHU went on to take home the next five matches before dropping the heavyweight bout as the Bald Eagles cruised on the road earning an important victory.
