CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (3-20, 0-10 PSAC West) fell to No. 6 California (Pa.) University (20-3, 9-1 PSAC West) 85-34 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division action at Cal’s Hammer Hall.
Cal entered today’s game ranked No. 6 nationally in the latest USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll and the Vulcans are ranked No. 1 in the NCAA Atlantic region.
Seniors Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) and Evelyn Wynn (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) led the way offensively for the Lady Eagles as each player scored eight points.
Kelshaw also chipped in with a three-rebound effort.
Freshman Sharay Hall (Philadelphia/Carver) added seven points and a team-high three steals.
Junior Casi Donelan (Fairfax, Va./Goldey-Beacom) chipped in with five points and team-high three assists.
Lock Haven trailed 44-22 at the break.
Cal was led by four players in double figures as the Vulcans shot an impressive 59 percent from the field.
The Lady Eagles hit the road again on Wednesday, Feb 18 as they travel to Slippery Rock University for a PSAC West clash. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. at SRU.
