SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (3-21, 0-11 PSAC West) fell to Slippery Rock University (10-14, 5-6 PSAC West) 101-72 tonight on the road in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division action.
Leading the way for the Lady Eagles was senior Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly), who drained a team-high 26 points.
Kelshaw also dished out a trio of assists and recorded two steals.
Evelyn Wynn (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) and Peaches Nesmith (Philadelphia/Northeast) scored nine points apiece. Wynn also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
Malika Miller (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) contributed nine points for LHU.
Casi Donelan (Fairfax, Va./Goldey-Beacom) led Lock Haven with eight assists.
It was 53-37 in favor of The Rock at halftime as LHU fell on the road.
The Lady Eagles shot 48 percent from the field for the game.
SRU shot 56 percent and was led by four players in double figures including Amanda Nero’s game-high 38 points.
The Lady Eagles are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. on the road at Mercyhurst University in PSAC West action.
