LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (3-22, 0-12 PSAC West) fell to Mercyhurst University (10-15, 4-8 PSAC West) 68-48 on the road this afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division action.

LHU trailed Mercyhurst by seven at halftime by MU was able to pull away in the second at home to earn the important conference win.

Leading the way for the Lady Eagles was Milan Dry (Baltimore/Dunbar), who knocked down a team-high 14 points, while also grabbing five rebounds.

Senior Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) chipped in with seven points.

Casi Donelan (Fairfax, Va./Goldey-Beacom) and Heather McHugh (Norristown, Pa./Norristown Area) each netted six points for LHU.

Donelan also grabbed three boards.

All six of McHugh’s points came by way of three-pointers, as she was 2-for-2 from downtown.

Mercyhurst was led by three different players in double figures, including Amy Achesinksi’s game-high 15 points. MU shot 45 percent from the field.

The Lady Eagles are back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. when they play host to Clarion University in PSAC West action.
