ERIE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men’s basketball team (4-21, 2-10 PSAC West) dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western division matchup on the road this afternoon at Mercyhurst College (16-9, 4-8 PSAC West) 95-83.
The Bald Eagles had a strong showing on the hardwood that saw three players in double figures in the scoring column.
Forward Billy Arre (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) led all scorers with his game-high 35 points. He also grabbed six rebounds and dished out three assists in the loss.
Guard Kelvin McClean (Newport news, Va./Heritage) added 20 points, grabbed four rebounds, three steals and had three assists for the Bald Eagles.
Warren Christian (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville C.C.) also scored 13 points in the loss.
Eric Brennan (Chester, Pa./West Catholic-Philadelphia) closed in on a double-double with nine points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Mercyhurst had three players in double figures.
The Lakers were led by Nnamdi Nnadili and his team-high 27 points.
The Bald Eagles return to PSAC Western division action when they host Clarion University inside Thomas Fieldhouse on Wednesday, Feb. 25. The contest is scheduled for an 8 p.m. tipoff.
