LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (3-23, 0-13 PSAC West) dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division contest tonight inside Thomas Fieldhouse against visiting Clarion University (11-15, 5-8 PSAC West) 87-61.
Despite a buzzer beater by senior Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) to end the first half, the Lady Eagles were unable to carry that momentum into the second half.
Lock Haven had two players score in double figures in the contest.
All Lady Eagle scorers were led by Malika Miller (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) and her team-high 13 points. She also grabbed five rebounds, forced five steals and dished out four assists in the loss.
Guard Casi Donelan (Fairfax, Va./Goldey-Beacom) closed in on a double-double with 11 points and a team-high seven boards.
Lady Eagle freshman Peaches Nesmith (Philadelphia/Northeast) and Sharay Hall (Philadelphia/Carver) each had eight points in the game. Hall also snagged six rebounds in the effort.
Clarion had three players in double figures in the scoring column.
Katrina Greer led all Golden Eagle scorers with her game-high 19 points.
The Lady Eagles wrap up PSAC Western Division play on Saturday, Feb. 28 when they host Gannon University in their regular season finale. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. tipoff in Thomas Fieldhouse.
