BETHLEHAM, Pa. – The No. 4 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (2-1) cruised past Molloy College (2-1) 22-12 today in a game played at Lehigh University.
The Lady Eagles soared to a 12-5 halftime lead and never looked back as they earned the big win.
Leading the way for The Haven today was Leigh Titus (Towaco, N.J./Montville) and Amber Hoch (Souderton, Pa./Souderton) as the two combined for 13 points.
Titus turned in a seven-point afternoon, as she scored a team-high five goals and added two assists.
Hoch scored four goals and set up a pair.
Allison Berger (Oreland, Pa./Springfield) scored four goals for Lock Haven.
Clare Gaeng (Frederick, Md./Governor Thomas Jefferson), Kayleigh Johnson (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport), Kate Smyth (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) and Jamie Uzialko (Lima, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) each scored a pair of goals.
Freshman Heather Sacko (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) played all 60 minutes in net for LHU and made 14 stops.
With the win LHU, ranked fourth nationally improves to 2-1 overall after falling to Limestone, ranked in the top-five, 11-10 on Friday.
The Lady Eagles are back in action on Wednesday, March 11 at 4 p.m. when they play host to Indiana (Pa.) University in The Haven’s 2009 home-opener.
