SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The No. 5 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (4-1, 2-0 PSAC West) improved to 2-0 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division play this afternoon as the Lady Eagles cruised past host Slippery Rock University (1-3, 1-1 PSAC West) 21-5.
The trio of Leigh Titus (Towaco, N.J./Montville), Amber Hoch (Souderton, Pa./Souderton) and Kayleigh Johnson (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) led the way for The Haven, as each player found the back of the net four different times.
Titus recorded a game-high six points on the day as she also added two assists.
Five other players scored for Lock Haven, including Kate Smyth (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury), who netted a hat trick.
Jamie Uzialko (Lima, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) helped pace LHU’s attack with a goal and three assists.
For the second straight game Lock Haven used three different goalies. The trio combined to make three saves.
LHU took the early lead and led 6-0 before The Rock finally got on the board with just over 20 minutes to play in the opening half.
The Lady Eagles stretched their early lead to a 13-3 advantage at halftime.
The Haven is back in action on Wednesday, March 18 at 4 p.m. when the Lady Eagles play host to Edinboro University on Charlotte Smith Field in PSAC West action.
