LHU Lacrosse - Women

#3 Lady Eagles set for 2009 NCAA D-II Lacrosse Final Four, set to take on #4 Limestone tomorrow (Saturday, May 16) at 11 a.m.

SALEM, Va. – The No. 3 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (17-3) is set to take on No. 4 Limestone College (17-2) tomorrow Saturday, May 16 at 11 a.m. in Semifinal 1 of the NCAA Division II Lacrosse Final Four in Salem, Va.

The contest between the Lady Eagles and the Saints will be the second of the season as LHU looks to avenge an early season 11-10 loss on March 6 in South Carolina.

Lock Haven is on a four game winning streak and is coming off impressive wins against West Chester in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship game and most recently, a 17-11 victory against Mercyhurst in the first round of the NCAA playoffs.

The Lady Eagles will be relying on the strong play of PSAC West Player of the Year Leigh Titus (Towaco, N.J./Montville) and her team leading 66 goals and the 2009 PSAC West Freshman of the Year Kayleigh Johnson (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) who leads the team with 87 total points.

Senior Amber Hoch (Souderton, Pa./Souderton) will also make an impact for The Haven offensively, as she has 87 points entering Final Four play.

The winner of this game will play the winner of the C.W. Post and Adelphi game in the Championship contest on Sunday, May 17 at 12 p.m.
