LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University wrestling program has announced its 2009 recruiting class.
Four student-athletes make up the Bald Eagles incoming class of 2013 including local-product Jake Bachman (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain), Rasheim Smith (Silver Spring, Md./James Hubert Blake), Jason Kane (Elizabethtown, Pa./Lowe Dauphin) and Josh McDannell (Alum Bank, Pa./Chestnut Ridge).
Lock Haven head coach Rocky Bonomo is very excited about this class of wrestlers and is looking forward to getting their training started.
“They’re a solid group of student athletes with great family support,” Bonomo said. “They all have a great work ethic and great desire to succeed both in the classroom and on the mat.”
“We are looking forward to them developing in our program,” Bonomo added.
LHU associate head coach Robbie Waller echoes Bonomo’s feelings toward this class and is looking forward to the upcoming season with the Bald Eagles.
"This incoming class provides us with some quality student-athletes,” Waller said. “It adds to our depth and I'm excited about the bright futures of these men both on and off the mat."

- 2009 Maryland State Champion, two-time Maryland State Finalist & three-time Maryland State Placewinner
Jason Kane (Elizabethtown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) – Projected Weight Class, 141
- 2009 & 2008 Pennsylvania State Qualifier
Josh McDannell (Alum Bank, Pa./Chestnut Ridge), Projected Weight Class, 197
- 2009 Pennsylvania State Runner-up and three-time Pa. State Qualifier.
