LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Freshman Xuan Gao (Dong Ying, Chinda/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) of the Lock Haven University volleyball team was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Player of the Week for her recent efforts in leading the Lady Eagles to a 2-1 week.

Xuan was the leader for The Haven offensively and recorded a team-high 38 kills (3.45 kills/game & 12.7 kills/match). Over the three-match span, she hit a very solid .326.

In wins over Bentley College and St. Mary’s University, Xuan had 18 and 8 kills, respectively. In the loss to Dowling she turned in a team-high 12-kill performance.

The Lady Eagles return to action on Friday, September 10 when they play host to the LHU Classic Tournament. LHU’s first match is Friday at 4:30 against Molloy in Thomas Fieldhouse.
