LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – For the second consecutive week, freshman Xuan Gao (Dong Ying, Chinda/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) of the Lock Haven University volleyball team was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Player of the Week for her recent efforts in leading the Lady Eagles to a perfect 4-0 week.

Over a four-match stretch last week, all wins for the Lady Eagles, Xuan was on fire offensively for Lock Haven and turned in a team-high 58 kills.

She averaged 4.5 kills a game and 15 per match for The Haven.

Xuan’s best performance came in a 3-1 win over Northern Kentucky, where she knocked down a match-high 22 kills.

She also had 18 kills in the 3-0 win over Stonehill.

Over the four match stretch she hit .471, which included a sizzling .615 match against N. Kentucky. Xuan also added six blocks, 23 digs, four aces and 13 assists.

Xuan and her Lady Eagle teammates return to action next Friday, September 18 when they travel to California (Pa.) University for Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover action. LHU plays Clarion and host-Cal on Friday.
