LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – For the fourth consecutive week, freshman Xuan Gao (Dong Ying, Chinda/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) of the Lock Haven University volleyball team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Player of the Week.

The Lady Eagles went a perfect 2-0 last week, thanks in large part to the tremendous efforts of Xuan, who’s enjoying a sensational rookie season.

The Haven hasn’t dropped a single set in four straight matches thanks to the play of Xuan.

Over the two-game span that included 3-0 wins over PSAC East opponents West Chester and Kutztown, Xuan knocked down a team-high 31 kills (5.17/game & 15.5/match).

In the win over West Chester, she had 16 kills and added 15 in the win over KU.

In both matches Xuan hit a sensational .517 and had zero hitting errors against the Golden Bears to lead Lock Haven’s offense.

Over the two games, she also added 25 digs and four blocks.

Xuan and LHU return to action on Friday, October 2 at 7 p.m. when the Lady Eagles travel to Shippensburg.
