LHU Swimming - Women

Swimming set to compete for Cancer Research

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University swim team is set to compete for cancer research this weekend when they host Mansfield University in a dual-meet on Saturday, October 31 at 11 a.m.

The Lady Eagles meet this weekend will benefit pancreatic cancer awareness.

As part of the special event, The Haven women have a limited number of t-shirts on sale for $10, with 100 percent of all proceeds going to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org).

LHU head coach Andy Waeger is excited about the opportunity to help an important cause. He’s also very proud of his squad’s effort as they look to do whatever they can to give back and help fight cancer.

“The idea of this project came directly from the women on the tem and they have done all the work to get this project moving,” Waeger said. “It is really great for them to work to benefit others.”

LHU hosts on Mansfield in Zimmerli Pool on Saturday at 11 a.m.
