LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (29-4, 16-2 PSAC) won its 21st straight match as the Lady Eagles dropped visiting Shippensburg 3-1 (25-15, 23-25, 25-9 & 25-20).

Xuan Gao (Dong Ying, China/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) turned in a team-high 15 kills, while hitting a solid .433 to lead Lock Haven on the offensive side.

Haley Gribler (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy-Liberty) and Christie Naumann (Charters Towers, Austrailia/Gladstone) added 12 and 10 kills, respectively to help spark The Haven’s potent attack.

Gribler hit .400 and also added eights digs and five aces.

Christina Laury (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) led LHU with 38 digs.

Fabiana Gomez (Montevideo, Uruguary/Consejo de E.S.) had another solid match with 39 assists and 19 digs.

Lock Haven closes out the 2009 regular season at home on Tuesday, November 3 at 7 p.m. when they host East Stroudsburg.
