LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – For the fifth time this year, freshman Xuan Gao (Dong Ying, Chinda/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) of the Lock Haven University volleyball team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Volleyball Player of the Week for her efforts in leading the Lady Eagles to a 2-0 week.

Xuan’s most recent award marks the ninth straight week a Lady Eagle has taken home Player of the Week honors.

The 2-0 week helped LHU extend its win streak to 21 matches.

Xuan recorded a team-high 25 kills (3.57/game & 12.5/match), while hitting a very solid .478. She also added 15 digs, eight assists, four block assists and three aces.

Xuan was on fire in both matches, as she hit a scorching .562 with 10 kills against Millersville. In the win over Shippensburg, she knocked down 15 kills, while hitting a red-hot .433.

Lock Haven is in action tonight (Tuesday, November 3) at 7 p.m. when it hosts East Stroudsburg.
