The Bald Eagles hit the mats today where several Haven grabblers turned in strong outings.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University wrestling team kicked off their 2007-08 season today by hosting the Mat Town Open with several Bald Eagle grapplers faring quite well.
LHU head coach Rocky Bonomo was pleased with the team’s performance today as several individuals turned in impressive early season outings.
Leading the way for the Haven was sophomore Nick Hyatt (Boyertown, Pa./Boyerstown), who placed second at 125. Another Bald Eagle sophomore took fourth in the same weight class as George Ester (Odenton, Md./Arundel) turned in a solid outing.
The Bald Eagles looked strong at 141 as well with rookie Owen Wilkinson (Beverly Hills, Fla. Hartland) and sophomore Donnie Ament (Acme, Pa./Mount Pleasant) taking third and fourth, respectively.
At 149 pounds junior Ollie Cooperwood (Hartsele, Ala./Maple Heights) placed fourth.
Freshman John Mangini (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) took fourth while wrestling at 165.
Junior Ben Hepburn (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) finished off a solid outing by placing third at 197 pounds.
The Bald Eagles are back in action at Penn State Open on Sunday, Dec. 2.
