WILMINGTON, Del. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (1-4) fell on the road tonight 65-56 in a non-conference battle with Goldey-Beacom College (1-2).
The Lady Eagles were only down four points at halftime, trailing their hosts 35-31, but couldn’t manage to leave the Joseph West Jones Center with a win.
LHU had two players score 14 points as junior Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) and sophomore Malika Miller (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) led the Haven’s offensive output tonight. Both players also pulled in three rebounds.
Sophomore Kristin Kudrick (Harrison City, Pa./Penn Trafford) netted 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Casi Donelan (Fairfax, Va./Goldey-Beacom College), a sophomore-transfer who played at Goldey-Beacom last season snagged a game-high 11 rebounds. She also had a team-high six assists and picked up two steals.
Sophomore forward Kara Waltenbaugh (New Stanton, Pa./Hempfield) contributed with seven boards for LHU.
The Lady Eagles are back in action on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. when they return home to play host to East Stroudsburg University.
