LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (1-5) lost 78-63 to East Stroudsburg University (1-3) at home in Thomas Fieldhouse today in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover action.
Senior Michelle Mitchell (Scranton, Pa./Lackawanna C.C.) led all Lady Eagle scorers with 12 points. She also pulled in three rebounds.
Junior Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) played another solid game for the Haven and netted 11 points to go along with two boards, two steals and two assists.
Sophomore Casi Donelan (Fairfax, Va./Goldey-Beacom College) helped pace the Haven’s offensive output scoring nine points.
Sophomore Kristin Kudrick (Harrison City, Pa./Penn Trafford) scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds.
Rookie Aiesha Smith (Philadelphia/Paul Robeson) pulled down a team-high six rebounds.
Nine different Lady Eagles grabbed at least two rebounds.
The Despite being down 9-0 in the opening four minutes and as many as 10 points in the first half, the Lady Eagles cut the ESU lead to only three points with 2:01 to play in the opening half and only trailed by eight, 39-31 at the break.
The Lady Eagles are back in action tomorrow (Sunday, Dec. 2) at 1 p.m. when they play host to Kutztown University.
