Lady Eagles soar past Kutztown 63-48
 

Sophomore Kristin Kudrick led the Lady Eagles today with game highs in points (15) and rebounds (9).

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (2-5) earned a hard-fought win at home this afternoon as the Lady Eagles soared past Kutztown University (3-3) 63-48 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover action.

LHU was led by sophomore Kristin Kudrick (Harrison City, Pa./Penn Trafford) and junior Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) who netted 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Kudrick’s 15 points were a game-high and Kelshaw netted all 14 of her points in the second half to lead the Haven’s offensive output.

Kudrick flirted with the double-double as she also pulled in a game-high nine boards proving to be game’s the biggest difference in leading the Lady Eagles past KU.

Kelshaw also grabbed five rebounds.

Sophomore Malika Miller (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) chipped in with 12 points while Michelle Mitchell (Scranton, Pa./Lackawanna C.C.) grabbed eight rebounds.

LHU went to work early as Elizabeth Finneran (Oakville, Conn./Watertown) put them up 2-0 after draining two foul shots to open the game’s scoring less than three minutes in. Finneran, who was making the first start in her Lady Eagle career finished with six points and five rebounds.

The two teams went back fourth exchanging leads until there was just over four minutes to play in the first half. With the game tied at 22-22 a three-pointer by sophomore Casi Donelan (Fairfax, Va./Goldey-Beacom) put them up 25-22.

The Lady Eagles eventually ted by five, 30-25 at the break.

Finneran scored first in the second putting LHU up 32-25 and Kelshaw followed that with a three to stretch the Haven lead to 10 points.

The Lady Eagles led by as many as 18 in the second as they cruised to the 15 point win over visiting Kutztown.

The Lady Eagles are back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 5:30 p.m. when they travel to Mansfield University.
