LHU Basketball - Women

Lady Eagles fall to Edinboro
 

EDINBORO, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (7-18, 2-9 PSAC West) lost to Edinboro University (16-9, 5-5 PSAC West) 75-65 on the road today in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division action.

Sophomore Kristen Kudrick (Harrison City, Pa./Penn Trafford) turned in a strong effort for the Haven leading the Lady Eagles in points with 21. She also pulled in eight rebounds.

Lauren Kelshaw (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) knocked down 18 points to go along with four rebounds as she continues to contribute for LHU.

Michelle Mitchell (Scranton, Pa./Lackawanna C.C.) and Aiesha Smith (Philadelphia/Paul Robeson) each scored nine points for Lock Haven.

Smith also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

The Lady Eagles were down 11 at halftime and trailed by as many as 21 in the second as they did everything they could to fight back in the second half of action

Lock Haven is back in action in their final game of the season on Saturday, March 1 at 1 p.m. on the road at Indiana (Pa.) University in league action.
