Terray takes second in 100 backstroke at PSAC Championships

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – Freshman Amanda Terray (Coaldale, Pa./Panther Valley) took second in the 100 backstroke to lead the Lock Haven University swim team on day three of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships.

Terray’s time of 57.56 broke her own school record as she established a lifetime best on her way to All-PSAC honors. The mark also moves her up the national list as she prepares for the upcoming NCAA Championships.

Also turning in a strong performance today was sophomore Amanda Palmer (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) who record a personal best in the 400 IM after a 13th place finish in the event.

Her time of 4:51.07 was the second fastest in LHU history.

Palmer’s strong swim comes after she established a personal best time in the 200 IM last night.

The Lady Eagles 200 medley relay team took 11th place.

Action at the PSAC Championships resumes tomorrow in the final day of competition.

The Haven is currently sitting in ninth place.
