Dr. Dave
Bower is
entering his
second
season in
his second
stint as the
quarterbacks
coach for
the Bald
Eagles.
Bower
previously
coached at
his alma
mater for 11
seasons,
from 1981 to
1989 and
brings an
experienced
hand to the
table for
the Lock
Haven
University
football
squad.
Bower
received his
Bachelor’s
Degree in
Health
Science from
Lock Haven
University
in 1975 and
also was the
starting
quarterback
for the Bald
Eagles from
1973 to
1975.
Bower is on
numerous
Lock Haven
all-time
lists,
including:
sixth in
career
passing
attempts
(567), sixth
in total
completions
(296),
seventh in
career
passing
yards (2980)
and sixth in
career
passing
touchdowns
(20).
After Lock
Haven, Bower
went on to
receive his
Master’s
Degree in
Education
from The
Pennsylvania
State
University,
and his
Doctor of
Philosophy
(1996), also
from The
Pennsylvania
State
University.
Bower brings
over 15
years of
coaching
experience
to Lock
Haven with 9
of those
years as an
assistant
here at Lock
Haven
University.
Bower also
coached from
1975 to 1980
at Lycoming
College.
