(Lock Haven, Pa.) – Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) scored four goals and had two assists to lead the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania lacrosse team (2-3, 1-2 PSAC) to a 12-4 romp over non-conference opponent Mercyhurst College (4-6) this evening at Charlotte Smith Field.
            The Lady Eagles netted four unanswered goals, including two by Strizki, after an early 1-1 tie  to jump out to a 5-1 advantage with just over 16 minutes remaining in the first half.  Mercyhurst’s Kelsey French posted an unassisted goal at 8:42 to cut the lead down to three, but two more Haven tallies stretched the lead back out to 7-2 by the close of the half.
Long Valley , N.J./West Morris Central) paced the Lady Eagles in the second half, scoring two of her three goals in the final six minutes. 
            Lock Haven’s Strizki led all scorers with four goals and two assists. Amy Richter had three goals and Jean Kearney (Springfield/Springfield) added two goals and two assists. Jenna Richter (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) had a goal and three assists. Mandy Alderfer (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) and Jessica Pease (New Milford/Blue Ridge) added the remaining two scores.  Goalkeeper Laura Carr (Warminster/Archbishop Wood) finished out the game with eight saves.
            Mercyhurst’s French led the Lakers with two goals while Dara Liberati had a goal and two assists. Kristen Jankowski also posted one goal.  Bunker made 22 total saves, playing the entire 60 minutes.
            The Lock Haven University lacrosse team is back on the road on Wed., March 31, in conference competition against East Stroudsburg University at 4 p.m.
