(Lock Haven, Pa.) - Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) paced the Lady Eagles with an eight-point effort as the Lock Haven University women’s lacrosse team (7-6, 6-4 PSAC) toppled East Stroudsburg University (3-11, 1-10 PSAC) by a score of 18-5.
            Two quick goals by Strizki and Lindsay Rentel (
Medford Lakes, N.J./Shawnee) put LHU in the early lead. A goal by ESU’s Leah Quigley cut the deficit in half, but the Lady Eagles responded with four straight to punch out to a 6-2 lead.  With seven minutes left in the opening half the score had grown to 10-2 but the Warriors put two in the net as the clock wound down to move the margin back to six, 10-4.
            The Haven logged six straight goals to start the second half, including two by Strizki, as the lead swelled to 16-4 with
11:55 left to play.  The Warriors did manage one goal through the LHU defense in the second half, Erin Fielder getting one by keeper Christie Dunning (Ivyland/Central Bucks East) at 9:14 to move the margin to 16-5. Lock Haven would add on two more in the remaining time, winning by an overwhelming 18-5 score.
            Diana Strizki led LHU with her second-straight six-goal game, also logging two assists.  Amy Richter (
Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) chipped in with four goals while younger sister Jenna Richter scored twice and had four assists in the victory.  Lindsey Rentel and Mandy Alderfer (Harleysville/Souderton) both added a pair of goals while Shannon Houck (Gilbertsville/Boyertown) and Marissa Koslav (Harleysville/Souderton) scored once for the Haven.  Christie Dunning made a total of three saves.
           
East Stroudsburg’s Leah Quigley and Erin Fielder both scored twice while Kaytlyn Paul recorded the remaining goal for the Warriors.  Katie Ord made a total of seven saves on the game.

lacrosse team will travel to No. 3-ranked West Chester University on Thurs., April 22, for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
