(West Chester, Pa.) - The Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania lacrosse team (7-7, 6-5 PSAC) was on the low end of an 18-5 final against PSAC leading and No. 3-ranked West Chester University (14-2, 11-0 PSAC) on the road this afternoon.
            The Golden Rams of West Chester scored the three goals in the opening five minutes before Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) tallied the Haven’s first goal at 16:58 . West Chester would go on another short spurt, one of several over the remainder of the game, notching three more before Jenna Richter ( Long Valley , N.J./West Morris Central) put one into the net with just nine seconds left in the half to bring the intermission total to 6-2 in WCU’s favor.
            West Chester exploded in the second half for 12 goals, including a run of six straight over an 11-minute stretch.  Lock Haven’s Jenna Richter would score twice more and Diana Strizki added one more goal in the half leading up to the 18-5 final.
            Jenna Richter paced LHU with three goals and an assist while Strizki contributed two goals.  Stephanie Wood (Califon, N.J./West Morris Central) added one assist. In goal, Christie Dunning (Ivyland/Central Bucks East) made 17 saves.
            The Lock Haven University lacrosse team next hosts Millersville University on Sat., April 24, at 2 p.m. The game will be played on McCollum Field instead of the usual Charlotte Smith Field location.
