2009 NCAA Division II Softball Tournament

April 25, 2004
#5 Limestone College 12, Lock Haven 9
East Stroudsburg, Pa.

(East Stroudsburg, Pa.) - Jenna Richter (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) set a new school record for single season assists but the outcome for the Lock Haven University lacrosse team (8-8, 7-5 PSAC) was not as exciting as the Lady Eagles fell 12-9 to No. 5-ranked Limestone College (13-3) this afternoon in a neutral-site game played East Stroudsburg, Pa.
Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) paced the Haven effort with four goals and was aided by a three-goal performance by Mandy Alderfer (Harleysville/Souderton).  Shannon Houck (Gilbertsville/Boyertown) added a goal and two assists while Jenna Richter had one goal and an assist, bringing her season total to 40 assists to take over sole possession of the Haven record.   Both keepers saw action, Christie Dunning (Ivyland/Central Bucks East) pocketing four saves while Laura Carr (Warminster/Archbishop Wood) totaled seven saves.
Lock Haven will be the No. 4 seed in the PSAC tournament. No. 1-seeded
West Chester University will host Lock Haven on Tues., April 27, at 4 p.m. on South Campus in the tournament semifinals. The winners will play the championship game on Sat., May 1, at the site of the highest remaining seed.
