#5 Limestone College 12, Lock Haven 9

Richter (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) set
a new school record for single season assists but the
outcome for the Lock Haven University lacrosse team (8-8,
7-5 PSAC) was not as exciting as the Lady Eagles fell 12-9
to No. 5-ranked Limestone College (13-3) this afternoon in
a neutral-site game played East Stroudsburg, Pa.
Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) paced the Haven
effort with four goals and was aided by a three-goal
performance by Mandy
Alderfer (Harleysville/Souderton).
Shannon
Houck (Gilbertsville/Boyertown) added a goal and two
assists while Jenna
Richter had one goal and an assist, bringing her
season total to 40 assists to take over sole possession of
the Haven record.
Both keepers saw action, Christie
Dunning (Ivyland/Central Bucks East) pocketing four
saves while Laura
Carr (Warminster/Archbishop Wood) totaled seven saves.
Lock Haven will be the No. 4 seed in the PSAC
tournament. No. 1-seeded
West
Chester
University
will host Lock Haven on Tues., April 27, at
4
p.m.
on South Campus in the tournament semifinals. The winners
will play the championship game on Sat., May 1, at the
site of the highest remaining seed.
