Lock Haven Earns NCAA Division II Lacrosse Bid

LOCK HAVEN, Pa.  – For the first time in school history, the Lock Haven University women’s lacrosse team (14-4) was selected for the NCAA Division II Lacrosse playoffs. The Lady Eagles will kick off the semifinal round at West Chester University (16-1) Saturday, May 14 at 2 p.m.

Twice in the 35-year history of the women’s lacrosse program at LHU, the Lady Eagles have played beyond the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament. In 1980, LHU made the AIAW Division II National Tournament, and one year prior, the Lady Eagles won the USWLA National title.

This is the winningest season in Lock Haven history, as fourth year head coach Kristen Selvage moves into third all-time on the career win list. Senior Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) had a productive season becoming the Lady Eagles all-time career leader in assists, goals, and total points.

Sophomore Jenna Richter plans her attack.
