Lock Haven Gets Five on Division II All-Region Teams

   
 

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team (14-5) continues to add accolades this season, as the Lady Eagles placed five on the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA)/US Lacrosse Division II South All-Regional teams. Kim Hedden (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central), Jenna Richter (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) and Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) were the three first-team selections.

Hedden started all 19 games on the defensive line for LHU, contributing to the 9.80 team goals-against average. Richter helped power the offense, leading the team with 35 assists and finishing second with 72 points. Strizki snapped the school’s career points, goals and assists records this season, and paced the squad with 59 goals and 89 points.

Shannon Houck (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) and Lindsay Rentel (Medford Lakes , N.J./Shawnee) were the squad’s second-team honorees.

The 2005 Lady Eagles had the most wins in school history (14) and the highest PSAC finish (second). Head coach Kristen Selvage moved into third on the school’s wins list (37) and senior attack Strizki snapped the career marks for goals, assists and points in a Lady Eagle uniform.
