GAFFNEY, S.C. –
Senior
Diana Strizki (Flemington,
N.J./Hunterdon Central)
and sophomore
Lindsay Rentel
(Medford Lakes ,
N.J./Shawnee)
each had three goals for the No. 7 Lock Haven University
lacrosse team (2-0) as it upended No. 6 Limestone College
(3-1) 12-7 today (March 12). Six different players scored
for the Lady Eagles.
Sophomores
Mandy Alderfer
(Harleysville,
Pa./Souderton),
Shannon Houck
(Gilbertsville,
Pa./Boyertown),
and
Jenna Richter
(Long Valley,
N.J./West Morris Central)
and freshman Caitlin LaBonte (Vestal,
N.Y./Vestal)
all reached the scoring column for LHU.
Leading the
defensive charge was senior
Kim Hedden (Long
Valley, N.J./West Morris Central)
with five caused turnovers.
Lady Eagle
freshman goalkeeper
Kimberly Allan (Pottstown,
Pa./Pottstown)
picked up the first win of her career, stopping seven
shots in 14 tries. Her record now stands at 1-0.
Strizki, Rentel,
Alderfer, Houck, Richter, LaBonte, Hedden, Allan and the
rest of the Lady Eagles are back in action Wednesday,
March 16 at 4 p.m. at Millersville University. |
