LOCK HAVEN, Pa.

Senior
Diana Strizki (Flemington,
N.J./Hunterdon Central)
got
things started with a goal in the first five seconds, and
the No. 6 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (4-0, 2-0
PSAC) didn’t look back, blasting Shippensburg University
(0-4, 0-2 PSAC) for the 18-6 win today (March 19) at
Charlotte Smith Field.
Strizki scored
all of her team-high five goals in the first half, a
period that saw LHU take a 12-6 advantage. She added two
assists for a season-high seven points.
The Lady Eagles
controlled the game defensively as well, winning the
ground ball battle 20-9 and finishing plus-seven in
turnover margin.
Sophomore
Lindsay Rentel (Medford
Lakes , N.J./Shawnee)
chipped in with three goals and an assist, while defending
Inside Lacrosse and WomensLacrosse.com Division II Player
of the Week
Jenna Richter (Long
Valley, N.J./West Morris Central)
added a goal and three assists.
Freshman
Kimberly Allan (Pottstown,
Pa./Pottstown)
got the start between the pipes for LHU, going the first
half and making two saves for the win. Allan improves to
3-0. Sophomore
Christie Dunning (Ivyland,
Pa./Central Bucks East)
finished out the game, making three saves in the second
half.
Shippensburg’s
Michelle Mangle made nine stops in the loss.
Strizki, Rentel,
Richter, Allan, Dunning and the rest of the Lady Eagles
are back in action Tuesday, March 22, at 4 p.m. as they
travel to No. 9 Bloomsburg University.
