ERIE,
Pa. – The No. 6 Lock Haven
University (5-1, 2-1 PSAC) women’s lacrosse team outlasted
No. 5 Gannon University (3-2) today (March 26) 13-10. The
win marks the first over Gannon since 1997
The Lady
Eagles out shot the Golden Knights 34-24 and led 7-5 at
halftime.
Sophomore
Lindsay Rentel
(Medford Lakes, N.J./Shawnee)
and senior Diana
Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central)
powered the offense with six points apiece. Rentel scored
five goals and added one assist while Strizki scored two
free position goals and chipped in with four assists. She
now leads the team in both of those categories, with 18
and seven, respectively.
Sophomore
Jenna Richter
(Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central)
had four points, including three goals and one assist.
Freshman
Caitlyn Watts (Willow Grove,
Pa./Archbishop Wood) tallied two
goals and sophomore
Mandy Alderfer
(Harleysville, Pa./Souderton)
added one.
Freshman
Caitlin LaBonte (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) added two
assists while sophomore
Shannon Houck
(Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown)
chipped in with one.
Freshman
Kimberly Allan
(Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown)
picked up the win for the Haven, making eight saves
between the pipes, improving to 4-1.
Joanna
Cullain netted a hat trick for the Golden Knights in the
loss.
The Lady
Eagles will be back in action on Tuesday, March 29, when
they host Mercyhurst College at
