HAVEN, Pa. – The No. 5
Lock Haven University (9-2, 5-2 PSAC) women’s
lacrosse team used a strong second half to pull past
Millersville University (16-6, 3-4 PSAC) 7-5 today
(April 7) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference
action.
The
game was tied 4-4 at halftime.
Freshman
Caitlin LaBonte
(Vestal,
N.Y./Vestal). tallied the
game winner at the 9:51 mark of the second half and
sophomore
Mandy Alderfer (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton)
netted an insurance goal with 7:10 left to play.
Alderfer
led the Haven attack
with three goals.
Sophomore
Lindsay Rentel (Medford
Lakes, N.J./Shawnee)
got things
started for the Lady Eagles just over a minute into
the game when she found the back of the net off an
assist from freshman
LaBonte.
Rentel finished with two goals while sophomore
Jenna Richter (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris
Central)
added one.
Senior
Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon
Central)
dished out a pair of assists, while freshman
Caitlyn Watts
(Willow Grove, Pa./Archbishop Wood)
added one.
Sophomore
Christie Dunning (Ivyland,
Pa./Central Bucks East)
picked up her second win of the season making six
save between the pipes.
The
Lady Eagles will be back in action on Saturday,
April 9, at Shippensburg University in PSAC action
at 12 p.m.
