SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.
– The No. 5 Lock Haven University (10-2, 5-2 PSAC)
women’s lacrosse team continued their string of
success defeating Shippensburg University (1-10, 1-7
PSAC) today (April 9) 16-7.
Lock Haven led 8-3 at
halftime.
Sophomore
Mandy Alderfer (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton)
led the Lady Eagles with a four-goal performance.
She also added one assist.
Senior
Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon
Central) and
sophomore
Shannon Houck (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown)
both tallied three goals apiece for the Haven.
Strizki also dished out two assists while Houck
added one.
Sophomore
Jenna Richter (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris
Central) contributed to the Haven attack with
six points. She found the back of the net twice and
gave out four assists.
Freshman
Caitlyn Watts (Willow
Grove, Pa./Archbishop Wood)
notched two goals and
added one assist, while sophomore
Lindsay Rentel (Medford Lakes, N.J./Shawnee)
scored one goal to go along with one assist.
Sophomore
Kim Penuel (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley)
aided the offense with three assists and
freshman
Caitlin LaBonte
(Vestal, N.Y./Vestal)
handed out one assist.
Freshman
Kimberly Allan (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown)
picked up the win for the Haven making eight saves
in net.
The Lady Eagles out
shot Shippensburg 30-23.
Lock Haven is back in
action on Wednesday, April 13, when they play host
to No. 6 Bloomsburg University at 2 p.m.
