HAVEN, Pa.
– The No. 5 Lock
Haven University (13-2, 8-2 PSAC) women’s lacrosse
team rolled past IUP (1-11, 0-9 PSAC) 16-7 today
(April 18).
Senior
Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon
Central) got things started for the Lady Eagles
when she found the back of net less than one minute
into the game.
The
Haven jumped out to an early 6-0 lead and led 10-6
at halftime.
Strizki led the Haven attack with a five goal
performance. She also dished out a pair of assists
which gives her 79 career assists tying her with
Megan Dwyer (2000-03) for the all-time
career record in assists.
Freshman
Caitlyn Watts (Willow
Grove, Pa./Archbishop Wood)
tallied four goals and sophomore
Lindsay Rentel (Medford
Lakes, N.J./Shawnee)
notched a hat trick. Rentel also gave out a pair of
assists.
Sophomore
Mandy Alderfer (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton)
scored
twice while sophomore
Jenna Richter (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris
Central) and freshman
Caitlin LaBonte
(Vestal, N.Y./Vestal)
both scored one goal
apiece. Richter also assisted on two goals with
LaBonte adding a helper on one goal.
Freshman
Rachael Williams (Gettysburg, Pa./Catocin)
also
picked up one assist.
Freshman
Kimberly Allan (Pottstown,
Pa./Pottstown)
and
sophomore
Christie Dunning (Ivyland, Pa./Central Bucks
East)
spilt time in net. Allan made four saves in the
first half and Dunning picked up five saves during
the second half.

The Lady Eagles are
back in action on Thursday, April 21, when they
travel to East Stroudsburg University for a 4 p.m.
