6 Lock
Haven University (14-2, 9-2 PSAC) women’s lacrosse
team defeated East
Stroudsburg
University (5-8, 4-7 PSAC) 13-9 today (April 21) in
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action.
The win marks the
sixth straight for the Lady Eagles.
Sophomore
Jenna Richter (Long
Valley, N.J./West Morris Central)
led the Haven attack
as she posted seven points. She tallied four goals
and assisted on three others.
Senior
Diana Strizki (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon
Central) and sophomore
Lindsay Rentel (Medford
Lakes, N.J./Shawnee)
each scored three goals apiece. Both Strizki and
Rentel dished out one assist. With that one assist
Strizki became Lock Haven’s all-time career leader
in assists with 80. The previous record was 79 which
was held by Megan Dwyer
(2000-03).
Sophomores
Mandy Alderfer (Harleysville,
Pa./Souderton)
and
Katie Kenney
(Fairport,N.Y./Fairport)
along
with freshman
Caitlyn Watts (Willow
Grove, Pa./Archbishop Wood)
all netted one goal for
the haven.
Watts
also had a pair of assists.
Freshman
Kimberly Allan (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown)
saw the majority of the action between the pipes
making six saves, while sophomore
Christie Dunning (Ivyland, Pa./Central Bucks
East)
made one save in the final 12 minutes of the game.
The Lady Eagles are
back in action in their regular season finale on
Saturday, April 23, when they play host to No. 2
West Chester University at 2 p.m.
