CLARION, Pa.—Sophomore
guard James
Chappell’s (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area)
team-high 16 points wasn’t enough to combat Clarion
University’s (11-5, 1-1 PSAC West) five scorers in double
figures, as the Lock Haven University (2-14, 0-2 PSAC
West) men’s basketball team fell at Clarion 83-57 tonight.
Joining Chappell in double-digits was senior forward
Joe Walker
(Lock Haven,
Pa./Central Mountain)
at 13 points to
go with a team-high 10 rebounds, his fourth double-double
of the season.
The
Bald Eagles trailed throughout the contest, and after an
18-7 Clarion run to begin the game, never came closer than
four points.
With
tonight’s start, senior guard
Eddie
Christiano (Coal
Township, Pa./Lourdes Regional)
tied the LHU record for
consecutive games played at 96. The three-point marksman
has played in every possible game of his four-year career.
Chappell, Walker, Christiano and the rest of the Bald
Eagles are back in action Saturday, Jan. 22 at 8 p.m. as
they travel to Slippery Rock University. |
