SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. –
Held in check by a stingy
defense, the Lock Haven University men’s basketball team
(3-21, 1-9 PSAC West) shot a season-low 26 percent
(12-of-48) from the field en route to a 73-31 loss at
Shippensburg University (15-9, 5-4 PSAC West) tonight.
Senior forward
Joe Walker (Lock Haven,
Pa./Central Mountain)
led the way for the Bald Eagles with 10 points and five
rebounds.
LHU
was out-rebounded 51-28, including a 17-6 deficit on the
offensive boards. The Red Raiders also had a 22-12
advantage in takeaways, with a 21-0 points-off-turnovers
margin.
The
last time an LHU squad was held below 40 points was a
59-34 loss at Shippensburg, Jan. 20, 1999.
Walker and the rest of the Bald Eagles are back in action
Saturday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. as they host No. 21 Edinboro
