YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio. –
The Lock
Haven University
men’s basketball team (0-3) fell behind early and
couldn’t recover, eventually falling at the University
of Charleston
(1-0), 82-51. Sophomore guard James Chappell (Coatesville,
Pa./Coatesville Area)
had a team-high 13
points tonight, and has hit for double-figures in points
in each of the team’s three games this season.
UC began a 20-5 run just
six minutes into the contest, powered by five LHU
turnovers. Once the smoke cleared, the Bald Eagles were
down 31-14 with 3:14 left in the half.
The Bald Eagles would get
no closer than 11 points from that point on, doing so on a
lay-up by Michael Dye (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley)
with 17:16 left in the game.
Chappell, Dye and the rest
of the Bald Eagles are back in action Friday, Dec. 3 at
7:30 p.m. at Penn
State University.
