LOCK HAVEN, Pa.—Despite
five players scoring in double figures, turnovers cost the
Lock Haven men’s basketball team its second win in
consecutive days as LHU fell to Millersville 66-63 tonight
at the Thomas Field House. Senior forward
Quentin Terry (York, Pa./Central York)
posted his second double-double
in as many days with 12 points and 10 rebounds, a pair of
team-highs.
The Bald
Eagles had a 32-28 halftime lead and led by as many as
eleven on two occasions in the second stanza, both on
three-pointers by senior Eddie Christiano (Coal
Township, Pa/Lourdes Regional). He finished with
eleven points, including three long-range scores.
LHU lost the second-half
turnover battle 12-5. Millersville would garner their
first lead with 52 seconds remaining in the game on a dunk
by Charles Parker. His slam was part of a 9-2 run the
Marauders would use in the final three minutes to overtake
the Bald Eagles and steal a win. Parker would finish with
a game-high 21 points.
Chipping
in to the Haven’s near victory were senior Joe Walker
(Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) with 10 points, a
game-high six assists and four rebounds, sophomore guard
James Chappell (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville Area)
with 11 points, including three long-range hits and four
