LOCK HAVEN, Pa.—Senior
Dustin Bixler (Mechanicsburg, Pa. /Redland)
and Freshman Ashley Rosindale (Bradford, England/Beckfoot
School) were selected to the NCAA Division II
All-Northeast Region team this week.
Bixler, the reigning PSAC
(Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Player of the
Year, was selected to the squad as a defenseman for the
second-straight year. Rosindale, the 2004 PSAC Rookie of
the Year, is making his first appearance on the
all-region team.
The Men’s soccer team
also gave out their team awards on Saturday night. The
Rookie of the Year was presented to Rosindale. He also
brought home the Golden Boot award for most goals scored
during the season, while offensive mate Andrew Meehan
(Cheltenham, Pa. /Cheltenham) garnered the Coaches’
Player of the Year trophy. The Most Valuable Player
award, voted on by the players, was given to senior
defensive-standout Bixler.
The Men’s Soccer Team
finished with a 15-5-3 record, won the PSAC title, and
advanced to the Division II Northeast Regional final.
