LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –
The Lock Haven
University men’s soccer team (6-4-1, 1-2 PSAC) shut out
West Chester University (6-4-1, 0-2-1 PSAC) today 2-0 at
McCollum Field. Andrew Meehan
(Cheltenham/Cheltenham) recorded the game-winning goal
just over two minutes before halftime.
Meehan scored on an
unassisted strike, his fourth goal of the year.
Patrick Long (Lock Haven/Central Mountain) waited
until the two-minute mark of the second half to add the
game-capping goal to put it out of reach.
Chad Feerrar
(Lock Haven/Central
Mountain) benefited from a stellar defensive line and
faced just two shots en route
to his third shutout of the season. Andrew Shafer made
three saves in five chances for the loss.
Meehan, Long, Feerrar
and the rest of the Bald Eagles are back in action
Monday, Oct. 4 at 3 p.m. against Concordia College.
