Men's Soccer Clips Concordia, 9-0

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Powered by its largest single-game goal output since Sept. 1, 2002, the Lock Haven University men’s soccer team (7-4-1, 1-2 PSAC) dropped a 9-0 tally on Concordia College (N.Y.) today at McCollum Field. Freshman Ashley Rosindale (Bradford, England/Beckfoot School) had a hat trick just over 17 minutes into the match.

Rosindale got the scoring started on a breakaway pass from Dustin Bixler (Mechanicsburg/Redland) two minutes into the match.  Rosindale then took an errant header from a Clipper defenseman and knocked into the left side of the net for a 2-0 lead.

He finished the trifecta with another unassisted shot and Andrew Meehan (Cheltenham/Cheltenham) followed with his fifth goal of the season for a 4-0 halftime mark.

Joe Leap (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) added two more and Garrett Neumann (Perkiomenville/Boyertown), Jake English (Lawrenceville/Williamson) and Chris Spinks (Dunfermline, Scotland/Queen Anne/Telford Clg)each tacked on goals of their own as LHU continued to run away with the game in the second half.

Matt Deming (Gibsonia/Pine Richland) and Daniel Trappe (Newfoundland, N.J./Jefferson) split the shutout evenly, with Deming recording the victory, balancing out to 3-3 on the year. Afrim Lajqi and Ivan Rodriguez split time in the loss for Concordia.

Rosindale, Bixler, Meehan, Leap, Neumann, English, Spinks, Deming, Trappe and the rest of the Bald Eagles are back in action Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 4 p.m. at Shippensburg University.
