LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –
Powered by its largest single-game goal output since Sept. 1, 2002, the
Lock Haven University men’s soccer team (7-4-1, 1-2 PSAC)
dropped a 9-0 tally on Concordia College (N.Y.) today at
McCollum Field. Freshman Ashley Rosindale
(Bradford, England/Beckfoot School) had a hat trick just
over 17 minutes into the match.
Rosindale got the scoring
started on a breakaway pass from Dustin Bixler
(Mechanicsburg/Redland) two minutes into the match.
Rosindale then took an errant header from a Clipper
defenseman and knocked into the left side of the net for
a 2-0 lead.
He finished the trifecta
with another unassisted shot and Andrew Meehan
(Cheltenham/Cheltenham) followed with his fifth goal of
the season for a 4-0 halftime mark.
Joe Leap
(Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) added two more
and Garrett Neumann (Perkiomenville/Boyertown),
Jake English (Lawrenceville/Williamson) and
Chris Spinks (Dunfermline, Scotland/Queen
Anne/Telford Clg)each tacked on goals of their own as
LHU continued to run away with the game in the second
half.
Matt Deming
(Gibsonia/Pine Richland)
and Daniel Trappe (Newfoundland, N.J./Jefferson)
split the shutout evenly, with Deming recording the
victory, balancing out to 3-3 on the year. Afrim Lajqi
and Ivan Rodriguez split time in the loss for Concordia.
Rosindale, Bixler,
Meehan, Leap, Neumann, English, Spinks, Deming, Trappe
and the rest of the Bald Eagles are back in action
Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 4 p.m. at Shippensburg University.
