On the strength of two
David Johnson (Lebanon,
Pa./Cedar Crest) goals, the No. 16 Lock Haven men’s soccer

as they downed Gannon
University
(5-10-0), 3-2. The Bald Eagles end the season at 7-2-2 in
non-conference play.
Sophomore David Russell
(Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) started the scoring with less
than 15 minutes left in the first half, heading in a loose

struck quickly after the halftime break, as Johnson scored
on a pass from sophomore Chris Spinks (Dunfermline,
Scotland/Queen

Clg).
Adam Maduri rallied the
Golden Knights, bringing the tally to 2-1 with 22:30 left.
Johnson answered with a score from an Andrew Meehan
(Cheltanham,

Khashayar Azizollahi hit
for Gannon on a direct kick with 15:30 left, but it wasn’t
enough.
Sophomore Matt Deming
(Gibsonia,
Pa./Pine Richland) made
six saves in eight attempts for his fourth win. Gannon’s
Kim Jernberg made five stops in the loss.
Johnson, Russell, Spinks,
Meehan and the rest of the Bald Eagles are back in action
on Saturday, Oct. 30 at noon when they host Millersville
University. Saturday’s contest will decide who hosts the
