LHU's Sowash Receives PSAC Weekly Honor
Haven Right Hander Named PSAC West Pitcher of the Week

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Dan Sowash (State College/State College), a senior right-handed pitcher for the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania baseball team, was selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division’s Pitcher of the Week for events ending on March 31.  
            Sowash threw a complete game in the Bald Eagles’ 4-1 victory in game one of a conference doubleheader against Clarion University on Thursday.  The senior pitcher scattered four hits over seven innings while fanning nine batters.  Sowash gave up only one walk and one unearned run in the effort. For the season, Sowash is 2-3 overall and owns a team-leading 2.97 earned run average.
            The Lock Haven baseball team is currently 10-13 overall and 2-0 in the PSAC West.  The Bald Eagles are next in action tomorrow, Tuesday April 2, to host a doubleheader against California (Pa.) University on Foundation Field at 1 p.m.
