LHU's Cowan Named PSAC Track Athlete of the Week

Haven, Pa.) - Chris
Cowan (Horseheads, N.Y./Thomas Edison),
a freshman long distance runner for the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania
men's track and field team, was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference
(PSAC) Men's Track Athlete of the Week for events ending March 31, 2002.
Cowan was the top collegiate finisher in the 10,000 meters at the
Susquehanna Invitational, running a PSAC leading and NCAA provisional time of
31:20.49. With this performance, he is currently ranked seventh in the
nation.
The Bald Eagle track and field team next travels to Shippensburg
University on Saturday, April 6, for a PSAC series meet against Shippensburg,
Millersville and Mansfield Universities.
