(Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Four Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania track and field student-athletes, Jennifer Farrow (Canton/Athens), Melissa Miller (Orefield/Northwestern Lehigh), Matt Stinson (Wescosville/Emmaus) and Joe Webster (Folcroft/Monsignor Bonner), were selected as Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week.  Additionally, Matt Stinson and Jennifer Farrow both received Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) honors as the Men’s Field and Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, respectively.
Jennifer Farrow earned PSAC Track and ECAC Co-Track Athlete of the Week honors after scoring a trio of first-place finishes at the Liberty University Invitational.  The senior Lady Eagle recorded her best outing of the season in the 400 meters in an NCAA qualifying and PSAC leading time of 55.89 for the victory.  Her time currently ranks eighth in the nation.  Farrow won the 200 meters in 25.23, which is also the best time recorded in the conference this season.  Her third first-place finish came as the anchor leg of the winning 4x400 meter relay (4:03.22), and she also anchored the third-place 4x100 meter relay squad.
Melissa Miller earned ECAC Field Athlete of the Week accolades after scoring an NCAA provisional qualifying mark and breaking the school record for the second-straight week in the hammer throw at the Liberty Invitational.  Miller outdistanced the field by over eight feet with a winning throw of 157’5” and bettered her own school record by almost 15 feet. The Haven junior also added runner-up honors in the discus (122’10”).
Senior decathlete Matt Stinson was selected as the PSAC and ECAC Field Athlete of the Week after a runner-up finish in the decathlon at the Liberty University Multi-Event.  Stinson won three of ten events to score 6,923 points.  His wins came in the high jump (6’6”), discus (128’9”) and long jump (22’1-1/2”).  His NCAA Division II provisional score is currently the fourth-best in the country and the top mark in the PSAC.
Joe Webster, a senior sprinter for the Bald Eagles, was named ECAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week.  Webster scored a first, second and third-place finish at the Liberty Invitational, leading off for the winning 4x400 meter relay which finished in 3:18.71.  He was second in the 400 meter dash in 48.37 and brought home third-place honors in the 200 meters with a time of 22.05.  Both his 200 and 400 meter times are the second-fastest in the conference thus far this season.
The Lock Haven track and field teams will next be in competition at the Bison Outdoor Classic being held at Bucknell University from April 11-12.
