LHU's Campbell Promoted to Associate Director of Athletics

(Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania has announced the promotion of Peter Campbell to Associate Director of Athletics. Campbell was previously serving as the Assistant Director of Athletics at Lock Haven.
As Associate Director, Campbell’s role will expand to take on more administrative duties, including the handling of the department’s compliance issues.
Campbell was named Assistant Director of Athletics in the winter of 2000 following two seasons as the head women’s soccer coach at the University.  In his two years as assistant director, Campbell has assisted in policy setting and procedures for the athletics program as well as fund-raising and promotional efforts.  He has been responsible for event management at all home contests, the scheduling of facilities and team transportation to away contests, team and officials contracts, and for managing the deferred payment student workers within the department of athletics. Campbell was also instrumental in instituting the department’s Drug and Alcohol Policy, which goes into effect for the first time this year.
As head women’s soccer coach, Campbell guided the Lady Eagles to two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championships, two straight berths into the NCAA Division II national tournament, and an overall 31-6-4 record.  He was named PSAC Coach of the Year both seasons, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Northeast Region Coach of the Year, and guided three players to All-America status.
Campbell earned his bachelor’s degree from Gannon University in 1991 before obtaining a law degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 1995.
