women’s soccer team is ranked in a tie for 24th in the National
Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II pre-season poll.
Reigning
national champion

holds the top-ranked spot in the 2003 preseason list, followed by

Nebraska-Omaha
, last year’s national runner-up.
Northern
Kentucky

follow to round out the top five squads.
The
Lady Eagles are situated in a tie for 24th place in this year’s
pre-season rankings after posting a
16-3-1
overall record in 2002. Lock Haven,
under then first-year head coach Shannon Champ, advanced to the NCAA Division
II Northeast Region Championship before bowing out to
Adelphi

The
2003 edition of the Lady Eagle soccer team will open the season at home on
McCollum Field on August 30-31 by hosting the LHU Tournament.
