LHU Women's Soccer Ranked Fifth in Final National Ranking

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  The Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania women's soccer team has obtained a final national ranking of fifth in NCAA Division II Women Soccer as recently released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The #5 ranking is the highest the Lady Eagles have been ranked all season. 
           Closing out last year ranked 13th and opening this season with the same ranking, The Haven moved up in the national poll as high as eighth during the 2001 regular season. Positioned above Lock Haven in the final 2001 rankings were UC San Diego (1st), Christian Brothers (2nd), Northern Kentucky (3rd), and Franklin Pierce (4th).
            On the road to finishing fifth, The Lady Eagles wrapped up the season with an overall record of 18-4, a program-best for wins, their third straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference title, and the NCAA Division II Northeast Region championship.
